Reaching Rural Utah

CONNECT Summit County has been working to reach rural communities in Summit County. During Mental Health Awareness Month, CONNECT’s team held an event called Mental Health in the Park on Saturday, May 21st. Our community partners from the Summit County Clubhouse and Healthy U Behavioral came out to talk with residents about mental health resources. Attendees enjoyed a free lunch from Burgers On Wheels, mural painting, chalk, yoga, and games.

The kids who helped paint the mural decided to name it, “Veronica’s Thoughts.” The art piece was themed around self care, and was featured at CONNECT Summit County’s booth at theĀ Summit Arts Showcase on Friday, June 18th. The mural, which is 4′ x 4′ acrylic on plexiglass, is available for purchase or display by contacting [email protected]
