evere Persistent Mental Illness plagues 97,000 Utahns annually. The battles and struggles caused by mental illness are real, and its influence upon our community is felt by many. “LABELED” will showcase thought-provoking films that explore mental health issues from numerous perspectives.
Contrary to popular belief, mental illness is NOT a fault, NOT a weakness, NOT a lack of character, NOT hopeless… It’s an illness. This film festival will spotlight stories of humanity through profound documentaries, film shorts, animations, and full-length features. There will also be opportunities to engage in 20-minute, post-screening discussion panels with selected filmmakers, mental health professionals, or those living with SPMI.
The four-day interactive mental health film festival will take place at the Broadway Theatres. Show times and ticket purchase options are at this link: http://labeledfilmfestival.org/. Alliance House is the host of “Labeled” and worked with the Canadian Au Contraire Film Festival to select all the films!
CONNECT Summit County is proud to be a recognized supporter of this festival!
