Do complementary approaches to mental health really help?

CONNECT’s kick-off event ‘Wellness Wheel: Exploring Integrative Options for Mental Wellness’ will include a presentation and Q&A on complementary approaches to mental health—do they really help? Four panelists will represent the four sections of the wellness wheel (Physical, Mental/Emotional, Social and Spiritual) and local psychiatrist Dr. Melissa Lopez-Larson will facilitate the event. 

There will also be a variety of local integrative service providers to explore additional options.

Cost: FREE

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and CONNECT Summit County will host a month-long consumer education campaign with talks, films, and events that focus on a range of issues. Topics will include grief and loss, combining Eastern and Western medicine for mental illness prevention and treatment, resilience through art, the Brainstorm Film Festival and the Ask Me Anything teen panel discussion.
