Our community raised $3,484,104 from 6,043 donors on November 6, 2020.
The outpouring of support from individuals who gave is truly what makes Park City special. There were 115 organizations that benefited from the generous donations from the people who love Park City. Whether $5 or $5,000, every gift is critical to groups like CONNECT Summit County. The nonprofit community would not be here without donors like you. Thank you.
We had big goals this year! CONNECT Summit Count set out to raise $30,000 from 200 donors by midnight on Live PC Give PC. The funds that we raised during Live PC Give PC will go towards initiatives such as the following:
- Mental Health in the Workplace: Learning how to validate perspectives, challenge assumptions, and practice empathy in the workplace thus reducing the stigma associated with seeking mental health treatment and services.
- Expanding Peer Programming in English and Spanish: Providing support and direction to individuals seeking mental health resources for themselves or their family members with our Peer Navigation Services and linking individuals to peer support when more than navigation is needed.
- Developing a Mental Health Scholarship Program: In 2021, CONNECT Summit County plans to launch a scholarship program to ensure access for everyone in our community seeking a mental health provider regardless of financial ability to pay.
In the spirit of observing social-distancing guidelines due to the pandemic, CONNECT Summit County hosted a three-hour Livestream, featured on Facebook Live (pictured above). We provided real-time donation information so that we could celebrate together. We also shared stories of impact including stories from our mental health ambassadors, talked about mental health and changes to the landscape in Summit County, provided campaign updates for the “Part of Our Nature” campaign, and highlighted some of our most generous supporters. We had so much fun being together but apart. Did you miss the Livestream? Check it out HERE.
We are so grateful to the Park City Board of REALTORS who donated a generous $5,000 matching grant to our organization. We are also fortunate to have the support of our board of directors, as well as Cindy Levine and Lana Youngberg who came together to provide a $10,000 match.
By midnight on November 6, we had 224 donors but we fell just a little bit short of our $30,000 fundraising goal. Thankfully, supporters like you weren’t going to leave us hanging! Some donations came in during the early hours of November 7 and pushed us up above our goal to $32,740.
It’s not too late to make a donation! Click the link here and support our work to provide access to mental health resources to everyone in our community.
