It’s OK to not be OK.
This was a message that resonated with so many during those early days of COVID-19 when the uncertainty of the pandemic felt overwhelming. And leading this charge of providing support, tools and inspiration were our local mental health providers who held free virtual support groups for our community on topics ranging from parenting during the pandemic to managing anxiety and finding hope.
Not only have these providers launched new approaches to patient care in the last few months, but they have also been on the frontline of providing their clients with the best care possible. We are so grateful to have the smartest, most innovative and caring mental health professionals in our community. We are especially grateful to these providers who went above-and-beyond by hosting more events Support Groups than any other:

Janet DeMars, Red Willow Counseling is a Licensed Therapist who specializes in drug and alcohol addiction, loss and trauma, family relationships and mood difficulties such as depression and anxiety. Amanda Cenack, Daya Counseling. Amanda Cenack, LCHMC, is passionate about helping others seek clarity and acceptance through individual and family therapies. She specializes in working with children, adolescents and their families who find themselves struggling with feelings of inadequacy and experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression. Roxana Cordova, Jewish Family Service. Roxana Cordova, LCSW, has a mind-body focus, with a strong mindfulness/awareness component, while providing clients with concrete strategies. She is bilingual and specializes in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, domestic violence, and homelessness.
